Our History
Founded by Abdul Basit Hotaki in 2021, Virtue Aid is a 501(c)(3) organization registered with the IRS for tax-exempt status. We are based in Connecticut, USA, and we're established to provide much-needed support to the less fortunate, with a special focus on Afghanistan. Despite the many challenges the country faces, we believe in the resilience of its people and are committed to helping them rise above adversity.
Our Mission
Virtue Aid is a nonprofit charity organization dedicated to extending a helping hand to the less fortunate. Our primary aim is to provide clean water, water pump systems, food, education, medical services, and housing. We believe that everyone deserves access to these necessities, and we strive to bridge the gap for those who are unable to afford them.
Our Focus
Our current focus is on Afghanistan and its vast population living in poverty. The country has been ravaged by war and conflict for decades, leaving many of its citizens in dire need of assistance. We are committed to alleviating their suffering and helping them rebuild their lives.
Restoring Hope
Afghanistan has endured a prolonged cycle of conflict, leaving its people without the freedom and peace they deserve. The devastating consequences are painfully visible, with young lives lost to malnutrition and families struggling in makeshift tents without basic amenities. Virtue Aid was born from a deep commitment to provide relief to these resilient individuals, offering a glimmer of hope and a path toward a brighter future. Our mission is clear: to stand by the people of Afghanistan during their toughest times and empower them to overcome adversity.
